When i was going thru the photos

and i saw this one, i knew right away

how the LO is going to look like ! :o))

The background paper is My Mind's Eye

life stories "Frequency Grid"paper.

The second layer is Bazil's white cardstock

which i distressed by hand and with some

distress ink (tea dye).

The 3rd layer is a jute sack that my boys

brought me from their grandpa's warehouse.

I cut it to the right size and unraveled some fringes all around.

The photo matting is mad of three layers.

The white one is an architect's thick parchment ,

which i distressed with a ruler.

The other two layers are from a take away 

brown bag, that were also torn with a ruler

and distressed with the same ink.

At the left corner i add a wooden element 

and left it in its natural color.

The letters "S" for sister and "B" for brother

are Tim Holtz's "GRUNGEBOARD".

I colored them with GESSO and acrylic paint.

I stamped the letters on them to complete  the words

"sister & brother" and finally put some  diamond glazed.

The gorgeous flowers are hand made, 

and i learned to make them from a super talented friend

The two white flowers are made of white baking paper

distressed with a "tea dye" ink,

but the greenish one is made of brown silk paper 

which i found in a shoe  box, and distressed with a green ink.

I just fell in love with these flowers :o))!!

GREEN SWAP !

HI & SHALOM EVERYONE !

רשומה בעברית בבלוג בתפוז.

I took part in a color swap. Each one of the participant

had to announce her preferred color. The swap was
a circle one, and the only thing i knew was to whom
i'm sending the swap and what is the desired color .
Since i made a swap before with the same girl,
and made her a sunglasses case, i've decided to complete
 her a set,  by using the same fabric.
I made a key cosy, in a shape of a house.

and since every decent house needs some $$$$$
i made her, a mini purse, from the same fabric of course :o)) !

And now to the scrappy part of this post,
THE CARD !! I made a "never ending card" which i learned
from my dearest friend Anat the "crafty fairy".
If you guessed well , you know that the color of the card is
GREEN.

DANCING FLOWER !

HI & SHALOM EVERYONE !

Today my LO is of my DD dancing &
posingto the camera.
But the "birth" of this LO started a week
ago when i took part in a five hour
"ONE STROKE"workshop,
with the talented teacher and artist
RACHELI GAZIT.

The workshop was held in DAFI'S sweet 
studio which is also a talented artist 
and the owner of a crafty store 
"MASTIKIM" (in hebrew that means bubble gums).

The five hours flew so quickly thanks to 
the other girls taking part and the 
wonderful and funny teacher.

After exercising on a transparent sheet
and plain paper we had to choose a 
cardstock and start painting.

So here is the cardstock i chose 

and here Is my first ONE STROKE project.

When i brought it home, everyone was 
amazed by the drawing and to tell you the truth so was I :o)) !!

I decided not to leave that cardstock 
empty, and right away i knew, which photos i'll use.

I punched board the mating under the large photo

and put some household coasters underneath the three small photos. 

I added some PRIMA flowers with rhinestones brads on the top, of my"one stroke" 
flowers, to give some dimension to the bouquet .

The title "DANCING" was made of Tim Holtz's Grungeboard swirls alphas, which i colored with white acrylic paint and then stamped over with UNITY  "Distressed Dots", and SU 
"Pink Passion" ink.
The word "flower" was cut with Cuttlebug and Provo Craft die cut "typewriter".

היי בנות ! 

היום הדף המעוצב (LO) שלי, הוא של בתי היקרה (DD) ,רוקדת ועושה פוזות למצלמה.

אבל "הלידה" של הדף הזה החלה בערך לפני כשבוע,

כשהשתתפתי בסדנה בת חמש שעות של "ציור במשיכת מכחול אחת" עם המורה והאומנית המוכשרת  רחלי גזית.

הסדנה התקיימה בסטודיו המתוק של דפי שגם היא יוצרת מוכשרת ובעלת חנות ליצירה בנייר "מסטיקים".

חמשת השעות חלפו כל כך מהר תודות לבנות שהשתתפו בה ולמורה הנהדרת והמצחיקה רחלי.

לאחר שהתאמנו על שקף ודף פשוט, בחרנו קארדסטוק צבעוני וחלק והתחלנו לצייר.

כשהבאתי את הדף המצוייר הביתה , כולם השמיעו קריאות התפעלות ולמען האמת גם אני התרגשתי מהתוצאה :o)) !!

החלטתי שהקרדסטוק הזה לא ישאר ריק ומיד ידעתי באילו תמונות אבחר.

ע"י פאנץ יצרתי בורד מסביב למאטינג שמתחת לתמונה הגדולה.מתחת לשלשית התמונות הקטנות הנחתי תחתיות נייר קטנות. מעל הפרחים שציירתי במשיכת מכחול אחת הוספתי פרחי "פרימה" שחיברתי ע"י בראד עם אבן וזאת כדי לתת לזר הפרחים עומק.

את הכותרת Dancing הכנתי מאותיות גראנג'בורד של "טים הולץ".

צבעתי אותן בצבע אקרילי לבן והחתמתי מעל עם חותמת של "יוניטי" 

ועם דיו של "SU".

המילה Flower נחתכה ע"י הקאטלבאג בעזרת תבנית חיתוך של  Provo Craft.

הדף מתאים לכל האתגרים שציינתי למעלה.

My card today is again a LOVE / VALENTINE theme.

The inspiration for this card , started with

La, La, Land challenge that said "No DP" 

no designer/decorative paper, only cardstock, 

and If The Shoe fits - with a color challenge "pink, red, white". I've used a white cardstock which i've dry embossed with Cuttlebug "Allegro" embossing folder.

The owl and the sentiment are UNITY stamps .

i've cut another pair of the owl's eyes and glued them with 

3D glue , adding two blings to them.

The owl's cardstock and the red cardstock beneath it

were cut with scalloped Nestabilities.

To thread the pink ribbon, i've used Fiskars punch.

To achieve a balance i added a pink ribbon at the top as well.

הכרטיס שלי היום הוא שוב בנושא אהבה / יום ולנטיין.

ההשראה לכרטיס הזה החלה עם האתגר של La,La, LAND  

 שקבעו שאין להשמש בנייר מעצבים או כל נייר מדוגם אחר,

אך ורק קארדסטוק! ועם האתגר של If The Shoe Fits 

שהוא אתגר של צבע שאמר "ורוד, אדום, לבן".

השתמשתי בקארדסטוק לבן שעשיתי לו הבלטה קרה בתבנית

ספר שקופה- "אלגרו" של "קאטלבאג". 

הינשוף והאמרה הם של חברת "יוניטי".גזרתי זוג נוסף של עיני

הינשוף, הדבקתי אותם עם דבק ספוג והוספתי שתי אבני בלינג.

הקארדסטוק הלבן של הינשוף והקרדסטוק האדום שמתחתיו

נחתכו בעזרת תבנית עם שוליים מסולסלים (scallop) של "נסטאביליטיז".

כדי להשחיל את הסרט הורוד, השתמשתי במחורר של "פיסקארס".

כדי להשיג איזון ,הוספתי סרט ורוד גם למעלה.

הכרטיס מתאים לכל האתגרים שקישרתי למעלה.
