GREEN SWAP !

HI & SHALOM EVERYONE !

רשומה בעברית בבלוג בתפוז.

I took part in a color swap. Each one of the participant

had to announce her preferred color. The swap was
a circle one, and the only thing i knew was to whom
i'm sending the swap and what is the desired color .
Since i made a swap before with the same girl,
and made her a sunglasses case, i've decided to complete
 her a set,  by using the same fabric.
I made a key cosy, in a shape of a house.

and since every decent house needs some $$$$$
i made her, a mini purse, from the same fabric of course :o)) !

And now to the scrappy part of this post,
THE CARD !! I made a "never ending card" which i learned
from my dearest friend Anat the "crafty fairy".
If you guessed well , you know that the color of the card is
GREEN.

LOVE EATING HOT SOUP ......

HI & SHALOM UNITY FWF !

Now you have to Choose one of the possibilities:

1) In the winter.

The world population can be divided between these two categories.

To which one do you belong?

This introduction is because i participated in a swap that was titled

"soup recipes". we had to share three recipes in some sort of a folder.

I've decided to put my recipes in a ring binder, and to make it in a shape

of a soup tureen.

Looking at the soup tureen that i inherited from my aunty Fela,

i drew a sketch, copied it on a recycled chipboard and coverd it with

a designed paper.

On the inner side of the front cover i've used a "stamendous" stamp

from the kitchen set , adding the name of the friend that it was sent to.

 

On the inner side of the back cover i've used a UNITY stamp from sep' KOM.

I made some inner recipes papers in a shape of the soup tureen,

but without  the lid.

I added a tag that i've stamped with another UNITY stamp from the FOLK INSPIRED set, and colored it with watercolour pencils, using a water brush.  

Since we were dealing with soup recipes, i added a package of "osem soup almonds" which is an israeli product, and is a must in the israeli kitchen when you are eating your soup .

and that is why  i warmly recommend it !

WHERE SHALL I HIDE THE SWAP ??!!

HI & SHALOM UNITY FRIENDS !

YES, IT'S FRIENDS WITH FLAIR FRIDAY FWF AGIN !

The sun is shining and it's 22 C outside you may say it's a great weather

but here in ISRAEL we desperately need some rain !

well lets get down to our business :o)) !

This week I took part in a swap of applique, each girl

had to send two fabric appliques to her partner.

As I always send my swaps with a card,

this time I've decided to make the card so I could

"hide" the applique swap inside the card.

I did some recycling by using the brown paper

that was wrapping one of the wood mounted stamps

that I recived from UNITY , this week.

I did some ironing since it was little bit wrinkled :O)) !

I tore it to the right size and did some stitching around.

Since one of my appliques was an owl

I've decided to use the owl & branch stamps from

june  KOM, and stamped it with cotton white stazon.
From the same kit i've found the perfect saying "friend to friend".

Two green blings as the eyes added some color to the card.

Some buttons and string completed the card.

PEEKABOO

I've glued the card leaving the top side open ,

so I could slide and hide the appliques inside.

כן,הגיע שוב יום שישי ואתו "הדילוג" בין הבלוגים

של החברות מיוניטי UNITY !

השבוע השתתפתי בהחלפה שנערכה

בפורום אומנות הטכסטיל והליבוד.

ההחלפה נעשתה בין זוגות וכל אחת שלחה

לבת זוגתה שתי אפליקציות.

מאחר ואני תמיד נוהגת לצרף כרטיס להחלפה,

החלטתי הפעם להכין כרטיס כיס, שלתוכו

אוכל להכניס "ולהחביא" את האפליקציות.

על בסיס הכרטיס הדבקתי נייר חום שעטף

את אחת מחותמות העץ שקבלתי השבוע מיוניטי.

מאחר והנייר היה מקומט במקצת , הוא עבר גיהוץ !

חתכתי אותו לגודל המתאים בעזרת סרגל קריעה

ותפרתי במכונת התפירה מסגרת מסביב.

מאחר ואחת האפליקציות שלי היא של ינשוף

החלטתי לחזור על אותו מוטיב גם ע"ג הכרטיס.

השתמשתי בחותמת של ינשוף ובחותמת של ענף

ששייכות לקיט חודש יוני. החתמתי עם דיו סטאזון לבן.

שתי אבני בלינג ירוקות בעיניים הוסיפו קצת צבע לכרטיס,

ותוספת של כפתורים ומעט חוט השלימו את הכרטיס.

הדבקתי את הכרטיס בשלושת הצדדים כשאת הצד העליון

השארתי פתוח כפתח "למחבוא".

זהו זה להיום, תודה שקפצתן להציץ מאחורי הקלעים שלי!
